Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Count Team Member - Day. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of currency and chip counting, as well as maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the security and integrity of large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss through extreme care and attention to detail.
  • Ensure procedures and proper controls are in place to protect counted receipts.
  • Conduct mechanically assisted counts of table drop boxes and bill validator boxes to determine the amount of the drop and win.
  • Maintain awareness of changes or problems that may affect the security of currency in the Count Room and report observations to the Count Room Supervisor.
  • Count and reconcile total funds to ensure the integrity of the count.
  • Transfer corresponding documentation to the Accounting Department on a daily basis.
  • Prepare funds with proper documentation for transfer to the Cage Department.
  • Conduct all facets of the count, including opening of boxes, counting of the drop, verification of documentation, and bundling of currency, as well as any other related tasks.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of AS/400 computer system and 10-key calculator preferred.
  • Ability to operate currency counting equipment.
  • Knowledge of cashiering or banking operations preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, coworkers, and management.
  • Ability to count and separate varying denominations of chips and currency.
  • Ability to motivate and direct the performance of subordinates.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
