Overview

Responsibilities

The Cook is responsible for:

  • Preparing and serving attractive, nutritious, and palatable meals consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food-handling regulations, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the culinary team to plan and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our residents, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications

To be successful as a Cook at Presbyterian Homes & Services, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal food-handling regulations, including food service operations.
  • Demonstrated compatibility with our mission and operating philosophies.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
