We are currently seeking to fill the important role of Chemical Treatment Technician. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and the ability to take initiative. Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, process, and manage hazardous and non-hazardous chemical waste materials at a licensed waste treatment facility, either independently or under supervision.
  • Engage in physical tasks including walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 70 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
  • Work with chemicals and environmental contaminants in both outdoor and indoor settings, adhering to safety protocols and wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Specific Duties:
  • Safely process hazardous chemical waste in compliance with company policies and EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Safely operate a fork truck for moving drums.
  • Utilize a barcode system to review laboratory data for appropriate handling and disposal of materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in operating areas, including walls, pipes, and floors.
  • Conduct chemical compatibility assessments to avoid adverse reactions and complications.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures while performing tasks.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • 24 or 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
