Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team at Yale New Haven Health. As a Pediatric Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication administration, and other medical interventions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric critical care nursing.
  • PALS certification required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
