Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs to lead our medical strategy and scientific communications efforts. This is a critical role that will require a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and scientific communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive medical strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives
  • Lead a team of medical affairs and scientific communications professionals to ensure effective execution of medical strategy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory, and commercial, to ensure alignment and effective communication of medical information
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and payers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific developments in the field and provide expert advice to the company
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive scientific communications strategy that effectively communicates the company's medical and scientific expertise to key stakeholders
  • Lead the development and execution of medical education programs, including speaker programs, advisory boards, and publications
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and pipeline, including their medical and scientific benefits and risks
  • Provide medical and scientific expertise to support the company's business development efforts
Requirements
  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in medical affairs and scientific communications, with a strong background in the biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful medical strategies and scientific communications programs
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and scientific communications
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest medical and scientific developments in the field
