Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Rockville, Germantown, and Silver Spring. As a key member of our physician-led team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide outpatient care to patients with cardiac conditions, including follow-up visits and consultations.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct inpatient care at Shady Grove Medical Center, working closely with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with site staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient transitions and care coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a clinical specialty and postgraduate training as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong preference for experience in cardiology.
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the State of Maryland.
  • Current Maryland license from the Board of Nursing.
  • Board certification required.
  • Maintains eligibility to participate in the Medicare Program.
Work Schedule:

Able to care for young adult, adult, and geriatric patients in an office-based setting. Participates in a rotating weekend call coverage schedule. Weekday shifts, M-F.
