Overview:

The CT technologist plays a vital role in assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This includes preparing patients and operating CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a 2-year associate's degree in radiography or a related field. Additionally, you should have one year of experience in CT scanning, with certification and registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.

Responsibilities:

As a CT technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating CT equipment, and interpreting information to identify each patient's requirements for care. You will also be part of a team that fosters a safe patient environment and delivers remarkable patient experiences.

Additional Skills:

The ideal candidate will have analytical ability, basic computer skills, and good communication skills. You will also need to be able to adapt to procedures based on the age of the patient and interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs.
