We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Fitness Instructor to lead our group fitness classes in Zumba and Dance. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for our members, while also providing a challenging and effective workout experience.
Responsibilities- Lead group fitness classes in Zumba and Dance, including creating and implementing new class formats and routines.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of Zumba and Dance techniques, as well as other group fitness formats.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for all members.
- Work collaboratively with other Fitness Instructors and staff to promote a positive and supportive team environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- Experience leading group fitness classes, preferably in Zumba and Dance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Free adult membership to the La Crosse Area Family YMCA.
- 50% discount on Y programs.
- 403(b) retirement account.
- 12% retirement after 2 years and 1,000 hours per year.
