**Job Overview**

Ski Apache seeks a dedicated Ski Patroller to join our team in providing exceptional guest service and ensuring skier safety on the slopes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide First Aid to guests and employees as needed at an EMT level, serving as lead patroller in First Aid activities;
  • Assess and evacuate injured guests and employees to the First Aid Room;
  • Document and investigate reported accidents thoroughly and accurately, monitoring ski area boundaries and trail safety;
  • Communicate effectively with guests on the hill using good radio communication skills;
  • Perform dispatcher duties, reporting accurate times of incidents or other unusual events;
  • Conduct assessments of injured guests and employees, calling for necessary equipment;
  • Participate in daily sweeps to ensure no guests or employees are left on the trails;
  • Maintain EMT-level First Aid skills and participate in annual training sessions;
  • Assist with training new patrollers and direct activities of junior patrollers;
  • Work regular full-time hours, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility to adapt to changing resort needs.

Requirements:**

  • EMT-B certification or above (Professional Rescuer CPR);
  • Sled qualification;
  • Intermediate skiing or snowboarding ability;
  • Dependable and proven track record of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to lift and move heavy equipment up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
