We are seeking a seasoned Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Clients in Litigation: Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.
  • Analyze Case Facts and Develop Strategies: Analyze case facts, develop legal strategies, and provide sound legal advice to clients.
  • Draft and File Legal Documents: Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct Depositions and Trials: Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Negotiate Settlements: Negotiate settlements and manage case resolutions in the best interests of clients.
  • Collaborate with Experts and Witnesses: Collaborate with experts, witnesses, and other legal professionals as needed.
  • Stay Current with Developments in Insurance Law: Stay current with developments in insurance law and litigation trends.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active License to Practice Law: Active license to practice law in West Virginia.
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Strong Knowledge of Insurance Law: Strong knowledge of West Virginia insurance law and regulations.
  • Proven Ability to Handle Complex Litigation: Proven ability to handle complex litigation and manage a substantial caseload.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
