Position Overview:
As a Senior Field Engineering Specialist, you will play a vital role in Carrier's operations by overseeing the field implementation of building automation systems tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. We seek a collaborative individual with exceptional time management, organizational, communication, technical, and problem-solving abilities. In this capacity, you will address complex challenges, mentor junior Field Engineers, and act as a key technical resource in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and enhance customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Guide and develop junior Field Engineers on all field tools and technologies.
  • Act as the primary contact for technical inquiries.
  • Provide effective solutions for intricate system challenges.
  • Ensure successful project delivery for medium to large-scale initiatives.
  • Oversee the proper functioning of systems, including controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports.
  • Implement effective time management strategies to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Document and communicate project status and details to clients.
  • Deliver site-specific training to system owners/operators.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field.
  • Ability to climb ladders or operate lift equipment exceeding 8 feet and lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License with insurability under company policy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or a related discipline.
  • Proficient in advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installation of building automation controls.
  • Skilled in navigating and integrating various building automation systems.
  • Expertise in TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies.
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
