Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients with pulmonary conditions
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers
  • Monitor and maintain patient vital signs, including telemetry, Bipaps, and tracheostomy
  • Insert and maintain central lines, and perform IV insertion and maintenance
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
About the Unit

The 23-bed pulmonary stepdown unit at Mission Hospital provides care for telemetry pulmonary patients. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Requirements
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program
  • One year of nursing experience
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification
