Duties and Responsibilities

">

We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist to perform a wide range of dental services, including:

  • ">
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat disease, abnormalities, injuries, and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures.">
  • Interpret radiographs and diagnostic tests to determine type and extent of dental diseases and disabilities or dysfunctions.">
  • Evaluate findings and prescribe type, extent, and order of treatment.">
  • Restore health and function of carious, fractured, otherwise defective teeth.">
  • Perform routine preventive, periodontal, oral surgery, endodontic, and prosthodontic treatment.">
  • Provide consultation services.">
  • Instruct dental officers and technical assistants in professional dental service.">
  • Perform comprehensive dental functions.">
  • Perform complex dental treatment procedures in the absence of specialist.">
  • May serve as preceptor for general dentistry residency programs.">

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • ">
  • A current, valid, unrestricted professional license to practice Dentistry and DEA license.">
  • Malpractice Insurance: Possess and maintain malpractice insurance.">
  • Privileges: Apply for and have approved dental privileges at WEHC.">
  • Certificates: Possess and maintain basic life support (BLS) certificate.">
  • Experience: Practiced clinically 12 months within the past 3 years.">
  • Continuing Education: Possess documentation of continuing dental education.">
  • Immunizations: Provide evidence of MMR, Hep B, Tdap, Polio, and Flu immunizations.">
  • A strong understanding of AFMS clinical practice guidelines and JCAHO/HSI standards.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">

Benefits and Compensation

">

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, based on location and other factors. Additionally, we provide benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plan, and paid time off.
