Backhaul Driver

Join US Foods, a leading food distributor, as a Backhaul Driver and play a crucial role in our logistics team. As a Backhaul Driver, you will be responsible for safely driving a truck to vendors and company drop-off sites, verifying freight on the truck, and returning the tractor and trailer to the division when the route is completed.

• Drive a truck to vendors and company drop-off sites
• Verify freight on the truck, required trailer temperatures, and accuracy of freight with vendors
• Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
