The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage all aspects of assigned construction projects, ensuring they are completed successfully, safely, on schedule, and within budget, while meeting the expectations of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the comprehensive and profitable management of assigned projects, from initial budgeting and scheduling to final completion and punch list.
- Exhibit leadership in safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
- Possess a solid understanding of standard contract terminology prevalent in the construction sector.
- Familiarize yourself with all facets of project plans, technical specifications, and contractual language.
- Collaborate with estimators to formulate the working budget based on initial estimates.
- Establish the project timeline, integrating labor budgets, procurement lead times, and contract deadlines.
- Maintain an organized electronic filing system for all project-related documents.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to solicit quotes for necessary materials and services.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements promptly to secure pricing and ensure timely delivery of resources.
- Conduct thorough reviews of shop drawing submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordinate with project superintendents on crew assignments, equipment selection, and construction methodologies.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with owners, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, and project progress.
- Facilitate the timely closeout of projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and submitted.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in standard office software and project management tools.
This position requires a commitment to excellence and a proactive approach to project management, ensuring that all company policies and safety regulations are adhered to throughout the project duration.
