School Nurse

A & Associates is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare management, physical assessment, care, and treatment for minor injuries and healthcare referral to students enrolled in the program.
Key Responsibilities
Address medical emergencies, assess circumstances, conditions, and resolve such according to established procedures and protocols.
Facilitate cohesive efforts to achieve continuous quality improvement for excellence in healthcare.
Assist in meeting the health needs of the general school population and those students identified with specific health conditions.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in Nursing
Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Nursing license.
Hold First Aid and CPR certification.
Must have experience working with Children in a hospital and/or school and community-health nursing.
Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills.
Ability to use effective positive interpersonal skills.
Computer proficiency including basic word processing, spreadsheet, and database software skills.
Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening
Ability to assist students by action or interaction in carrying out specialized therapeutic or physical care plans and procedures.
Ability to operate, maneuver, and/or control the actions of special needs and therapeutic equipment, familiarity with HIPAA laws of confidentiality.
Must possess knowledge of OSHA compliance standards.
Must have a commitment to a core set of beliefs about learning, teaching, and ongoing professional development.
Knowledge of federal, state, and district rules, regulations, and policies as they relate to job functions.
Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision.
Ability to compose correspondence and prepare reports in an articulate manner.
Ability to possess a valid Florida driver's license.
Must have the ability to interpret program trends, results, and related data to formulate recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong skills in planning and problem solving.
Capable of working extended hours when the position requires it.
Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
Position involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying, and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.
Must have finger dexterity for holding objects, typing, etc.
Must pass background and Drug Test.
