Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team. As a TVI, you will provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in a school setting, adapting curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet their unique needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction to visually impaired students, including orientation and mobility, independent living skills, and assistive technology use.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual needs and develop appropriate educational plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success and inclusion in the school community.
- Develop and implement curriculum materials and instructional strategies to meet the needs of visually impaired students.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in visually impaired education to ensure students receive the highest quality instruction.
Requirements:
- Valid certification or licensure as a TVI.
- Experience working with visually impaired students.
