Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our pediatric hepatology team at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients with a wide range of pediatric hepatologic disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and treatment for pediatric patients with hepatologic disorders in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical assessments for new and follow-up patients.
  • See patients pre and post-procedure and manage complications related to procedures or surgery.
  • Collaborate with the inpatient transplant team to care for transplant patients pre and post-transplant.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited nursing program (Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA program (Physician Assistant).
  • State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure.
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (Nurse Practitioner) or Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (Physician Assistant).
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (Nurse Practitioner) or Active PA board certification (Physician Assistant).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
