About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Gardena. As a per diem, nonexempt position, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Filling orders with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Checking technician-prepared products before release to ensure quality and safety
  • Maintaining the security of the pharmacy and controlled substances
  • Entering orders and patient information with precision and accuracy
  • Aiding in the training of new staff members
  • Providing updates to the Director on daily pharmacy activities
  • Supporting the Director in maintaining the pharmacy

Requirements
  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
  • Current California Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program (strongly preferred)
  • Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
