Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Specialist to join our team in the Frederick, Maryland area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of construction equipment machinery and components in a field setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently diagnose and perform field service repairs to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Order and obtain necessary parts, materials, and supplies prior to arriving at the jobsite.
  • Identify and arrange for the procurement of additional items as needed after initial inspection and diagnosis.
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and guidelines during repair.
  • Communicate with customers regarding completed repairs and any issues found.
  • Maintain an adequate level of tools necessary to perform service requirements.
  • Document and maintain proper records of time spent on each repair, parts and materials used, and detailed descriptions of work performed.
  • Ensure that all parts and materials not used are returned upon completion of service work.
  • Provide labor hours daily to the Service Manager or Branch Administrator.
  • Prepare and submit expense reports and service truck mileage on a timely basis.
  • Maintain the service truck in good working condition and appearance.
Requirements
  • High School or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in diagnostic and repair work on construction equipment machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
