Job Summary

Rumpke Transportation Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled CDL Rear Load Driver to join our team. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for safely operating a rear load truck to collect and transport waste and recyclables to disposal sites or recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a Rear Load Truck Safely: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, while operating a rear load truck.
  • Provide Waste Collection Services: Empty trash and recycling containers into the truck and transport them to disposal sites or recycling facilities.
  • Perform Physical Demands: Lift, push, pull, and maneuver heavy objects, including trash and recycling containers, as well as climb in and out of the truck.
  • Maintain Vehicle and Equipment: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, clean the truck, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Interact with Customers: Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively, and respond to customer inquiries.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL License: Possess a valid Class B CDL license and a valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Physical Abilities: Meet the physical demands of the job, including prolonged physical exertion, lifting, and climbing.
  • Safe Driving Record: Maintain a safe driving record, with no more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
Working Conditions
  • Exposure to Traffic: Work in high-traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
  • Exposure to Waste: Be exposed to residential and commercial waste, as well as potential spills and overflows.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as required.
