Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree is required; a Paralegal Certificate is advantageous.

• Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in New York Supreme Court.

• Experience in medical malpractice defense is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Drafting and responding to discovery requests.

• Preparing, submitting, and following up on HIPAA-compliant authorizations and record requests.

• Assisting with motions, preparation of exhibits, depositions, and trial preparations.

• Summarizing transcripts and other legal documents.

Compensation is determined by various factors including experience, education, licensure, geographic location, market demands, and other organizational needs. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $50,000 and $70,000, with eligibility for discretionary bonuses. This is a full-time position that qualifies for benefits such as a 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
