Job SummaryThe Police Officer is a vital member of our Campus Police & Public Safety department, responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, maintaining visitor control, and investigating irregularities. The successful candidate will provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff, while promoting a culture of safety and respect.
Responsibilities- Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff
- Maintain visitor control and investigate irregularities
- Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a safe and secure environment
- 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in police science or related field preferred
- Certified by NC Training and Standards Commission or basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required
The Police Officer will work a rotating shift schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The specific schedule will be determined by the department's needs.
