Job Summary:

As a Medical Radiographer at the University of Rochester, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality X-ray images while ensuring patient safety and efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of imaging sciences and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct X-ray exams in a safe and efficient manner, verifying and following referring providers' orders while adhering to departmental policies.
• Prepare rooms and patients according to orders, setting up equipment, positioning patients, and determining proper exposure factors to produce high-quality images.
• Produce diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care and support.

Requirements:

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and other stakeholders.
• Proficiency in imaging equipment and software, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
