Job Summary:
Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team in a Labor and Delivery setting. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to labor and delivery patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in emergency situations, such as cesarean sections and postpartum hemorrhage
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with high-risk pregnancies
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including vital signs, fetal monitoring, and maternal and fetal status
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Connecticut
- 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- C-section experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
