Job Summary:

As a Computed Tomography Technologist with Healthcare Staffing Plus, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent patient care abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and equip exam rooms to meet the needs of requested examinations and physician requirements.
  • Organize daily work schedules and perform related clerical duties as required.
  • Integrate previous imaging studies, laboratory results, patient history, and medical records to optimize exams.
  • Perform CT scans, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Provide patient education and instruction prior to and after examinations.
  • Collaborate with interpreting physicians and ordering physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Adapt exams to address patient care issues as they arise, making decisions to resolve problems.
  • Operate CT scanners, perform quality control measures, and ensure radiation safety.
  • Perform interventional procedures, applying knowledge of equipment, supplies, and AORN standards.
  • Perform other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology program required.
  • Minimum of one year previous experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages to meet each patient's needs.
  • Demonstrated venipuncture competency.
  • PACS/RIS knowledge required.
  • EPIC RIS, FUJI, and IntelliSpace PACS experience preferred.
  • Certification/Registration/Licensure as required by the State for trained modality.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire.
