Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the primary sales associate, overseeing the training and evaluation of team members within designated departments.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the Manager on Duty (MOD) process, demonstrating proficiency in fulfilling the associated responsibilities.
  • Supervises the sales area to maintain constant awareness of customer and associate interactions.
  • Stays informed about all company policies, ensuring consistent adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Inspires and guides team members to achieve set goals and objectives.
  • Delegates tasks clearly and follows up on all instructions provided.
  • Promotes teamwork within the store and across the company.
  • Informs management of any necessary personnel adjustments.
  • Facilitates the training and onboarding of new hires in the relevant department.
  • Communicates effectively between employees and management.
  • Assists customers in assigned departments or throughout the store, providing necessary guidance and information.
  • Addresses customer complaints with professionalism.
  • Manages special orders for non-stock items.
  • Assists with unloading incoming deliveries as directed by management.
  • Demonstrates product usage to customers upon request.
  • Is well-versed in conducting and adhering to all management processes, including 1-2-1s, team huddles, floor observations, store walkthroughs, and departmental checklists.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership capabilities, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, active listening skills, and the ability to ensure understanding after instructions are given.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, capacity to multitask, and a talent for fostering internal and external relationships.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency and computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
  • Familiarity with Trello as a tool for communication, task management, and time organization.
  • A broad understanding of all departments and the ability to assist as necessary.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships with both customers and team members.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand and walk for extended durations.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, grasp products, and climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift loads up to 50 lbs. unassisted and push/pull carts with merchandise.
