Key Responsibilities:- Prepare metal surfaces for the coating process, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
- Operate powder coating machinery to apply coatings to metal components and assemblies.
- Oversee the curing process to guarantee optimal coating performance and adherence.
- Examine coated items for consistency, coverage, and defects, making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain and clean powder coating equipment and work areas to ensure efficient operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and quality benchmarks.
- Document and report production metrics, including material usage and process parameters.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving coating process and equipment issues.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
- Demonstrated experience as a powder coater or in a comparable coating position.
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment, processes, and materials.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices related to powder coating.
- Physical stamina and strength to manage coating equipment and materials.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in powder coating is advantageous.
- This is a full-time role.
- Work will be conducted in a manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and is mandatory.
