Job Description:

As a CDL A Local Truck Driver with Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in delivering food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, including inspections of the tractor, trailer, and cargo, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Load and unload products from trailers, transport items to designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Collect payments, manage customer returns, and maintain accurate records of hours of service and cargo.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL A license and a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • 6+ months of commercial driving experience and a strong understanding of DOT regulations.
  • Ability to lift and move product cases and freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
