Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Clear Creek Independent School District (TX). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to students with disabilities, assessing their needs, and developing therapeutic interventions to maximize their participation in the curriculum and increase their independence in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations of students to determine their educational needs for occupational therapy services
  • Plan and provide direct and consultative services consistent with occupational therapy goals contained in student IEPs
  • Evaluate student progress and determine continued need for occupational therapy as a related service
  • Provide direct services to students following evaluation
  • Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and other stakeholders
  • Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy or related program
  • Valid Texas license as an occupational therapist granted by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an occupational therapist
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy procedures, education of special students, human development and learning theories
Working Conditions

The Occupational Therapist will work in a varied environment, frequently traveling district-wide in a personal vehicle. The position requires moderate standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting of 25 lbs., carrying, pulling, and pushing. Performing restraint techniques with students when necessary.
