Position Overview

The role involves the assembly and fabrication of various components, including semiconductor materials and electronic devices. The responsibilities include executing routine tasks that require a degree of judgment. Shift hours for this position are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, which includes a pay differential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interprets work orders and follows production schematics and sample assemblies.
  • Aligns and positions components according to specified relationships.
  • Assembles devices from multiple parts, including semiconductor elements, optical components, and electrical elements.
  • Conducts assembly operations such as cleaning, bonding, testing, and packaging.
  • Performs basic failure analysis and collaborates with engineering teams to resolve issues and enhance processes.
  • Operates machinery utilized in the assembly and testing of components.
  • Adjusts materials to meet required electrical or dimensional specifications.
  • Conducts inspections to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Maintains production throughput as directed by supervisory staff.
  • Communicates any production-related issues to the supervisor.
In addition to the above responsibilities, all employees are expected to:
  • Meet company standards for both quantity and quality of work consistently.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding workplace behavior.
The company reserves the right to modify or assign additional duties as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must possess the ability to grasp and manipulate small components, necessitating good hand-eye coordination. The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing and performing repetitive tasks. Occasionally, employees may need to exert up to 10 lbs. of force. The position requires working in environments with hazardous materials and using personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves.

Qualifications:

Experience:
  • 0-3 years of experience in semiconductor assembly, fabrication, or related manufacturing environments.
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in English, including writing and communication skills, as well as fundamental math skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment while adhering to high-quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Basic understanding of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and best practices in a production setting.
Other:
  • Compliance with cleanroom protocols.
