Clinical Nurse Wanted for UNC Medical Center

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. This role requires expertise in oncology or chemotherapy, although prior experience is not mandatory. We provide training to ensure the success of our nurses in this challenging yet rewarding field.
Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Assessment - Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care. Include appropriate physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs in patient assessment.
2. Planning - Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care. Make use of available multidisciplinary resources in planning care.
3. Implementation - Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems. Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan.
4. Leadership - Develop goals to promote professional growth or minimize limitations. Achieve goals and objectives within identified time frame or renegotiate with supervisor.
