The RN Adult Peds Position:
- This role involves providing professional nursing care in a pediatric/adult overflow med/surg unit.
- You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring effective communication with patients and their families.
- We require an active Michigan RN license and emphasize patient-centered care within a supportive healthcare environment.
About the Unit:
This 20-bed pediatric/adult overflow med/surg unit sees patients from infancy to old age. Our nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 for regular med/surg patients on day shift and 1:6 on night shift. High acuity pediatric patients may have a 1:3 ratio. We do not accept PICU level patients.
Pediatrics - St Joseph Overview:
This unit is part of our Pediatrics department at Lakeland Hospital St Joseph, where you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
