The Life Enrichment Assistant plays a crucial role in organizing and executing engaging activities that enhance the quality of life for residents in a senior living memory care environment.

Essential Qualifications
  • Demonstrated compassion for the elderly population.
  • Preferred experience of one to three years in a related field.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule, including potential evening and weekend shifts.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Life Enrichment Coordinator/Director in the overall management and assessment of the activities department.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of regular activities and life skills programs.
  • Help maintain an adequate inventory for all planned activities.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed with a focus on resident safety.
  • Coordinate the communication of all scheduled activities.
  • Keep all activity areas within the community organized and safe.
  • Accompany residents on outings as directed by the Life Enrichment Coordinator/Director.
  • Transport residents to appointments and events using the community shuttle.
  • Assist residents with boarding and disembarking from the shuttle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and productivity.
Work Environment

This role requires prolonged periods of standing and effective communication with residents and staff. Employees must be able to sit, stand, walk, and use their hands for various tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. The work environment is moderately noisy, and travel to different locations may be required.
