Compensation: $26.00 per hour

Schroeder Moving Systems is in search of dedicated full-time and part-time Non-CDL vehicle operators for our local and regional transportation teams.

Role Summary

This position involves comprehensive driving responsibilities. The operator will navigate the vehicle safely and efficiently from the warehouse to various job sites, where they will also take on the role of crew leader and assist in the loading and unloading of household items or specialized deliveries as required. Our mission is to facilitate a seamless transition for our customers during their relocation or shipping processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate moving and delivery vehicles.
  • Supervise and assist with packing, unpacking, moving, and loading/unloading items at the job site.
  • Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork related to moves and shipments.
  • Adapt to irregular working hours as needed.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members on-site.
  • Ensure punctuality and safety in operations.
  • Maintain a positive and engaging attitude while working.
  • Utilize map and GPS technology effectively.
  • Accountable for company materials and equipment.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and inspections of vehicles and tools as per company standards.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of addressing everyday challenges and interpreting various forms of instructions.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing between 10-50 lbs, with occasional lifting of items over 100 lbs. The role demands frequent standing, walking, and physical activity in varying temperatures.
