Music Therapist

Job Summary:

Eastern State Hospital (ESH) is seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team. As a Music Therapist, you will provide goal-oriented Music Therapy treatment to meet the psychiatric, social, emotional, and physical needs of adult and geriatric patients. You will develop and implement age-appropriate Music Therapy treatment, complete age-specific assessments and evaluations, and ensure patients receive the highest quality of care.

Responsibilities:

Provide Music Therapy treatment to patients with psychiatric, social, emotional, and physical needs
Develop and implement age-appropriate Music Therapy treatment plans
Complete age-specific assessments and evaluations to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

Experience working with psychiatric patients in a clinical setting
Valid driver's license required
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate from a college or university with major studies in Music Therapy accompanied by experience that would meet the requirements for certification
Board certification with the Certification Board for Music Therapists (MT-BC)
