Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Fresenius Medical Care North America. As a key member of our hemodialysis healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy to patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the setup and operation of hemodialysis machines
  • Conduct patient education on dialysis procedures and disease management
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns
  • Perform vascular access cannulation and administration of heparin as delegated
  • Initiate and terminate dialysis treatments according to prescribed orders
  • Document patient information and treatment data accurately and timely
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years of previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
  • Successful completion of the FMCNA dialysis training program and CPR certification required
