Position Summary

The Sales Financial Analyst is integral to enhancing PAG's growth and profitability by meticulously analyzing sales metrics, monitoring performance, and delivering strategic insights that inform business decisions. This role demands exceptional analytical capabilities, advanced expertise in Excel, SQL, and PowerBI, along with the capacity to collaborate across various departments to guarantee data precision and alignment with the organization's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

Core Functions:

Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis and summarization of customer and operational data, focusing on profitability while identifying trends across divisions.

Sales Tracking: Monitor the sales pipeline, including leads, and provide essential analysis to support the sales team.

Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with sales and other departments to share insights and ensure data accuracy and alignment.

Budget Development: Collaborate with the sales team to formulate account-level budgets and track strategic account plans.

Profitability Strategies: Work alongside sales leadership to devise and implement strategies aimed at boosting sales and profitability while keeping an eye on sales and margin trends.

Reporting: Create, develop, and present reports for the sales team, analyzing sales leads and monitoring account/customer margins. Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages and key performance indicator reports.

Executive Support: Engage with the sales team to provide data and insights, develop a cohesive view of company margins, and prepare financial presentations for leadership.

Process Improvement: Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, contributing to process enhancement initiatives within the finance organization.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with PowerBI and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of building relationships and influencing at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities while delivering high-quality work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with financial planning software and business intelligence tools.
  • Proven capability in developing financial models and conducting detailed variance analysis.
  • Strong grasp of financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and driving process improvements.
Technical Proficiency:
  • Data Analysis and Visualization: Expertise in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions and modeling), PowerBI, and SQL.
  • Financial Planning Software: Familiarity with financial planning and analysis tools.
  • Reporting and Presentation: Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating and delivering presentations.
  • Remote Collaboration Tools: Experience with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other remote work tools.
Work Environment:

Physical Requirements: The role involves prolonged periods of sitting or standing, frequent walking, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting and carrying of weights up to 20 pounds may be required.
