Job Summary:

  • Provide exceptional guest service to all CWCR guests.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers in the lounge and on the gaming floor.

  • Serve food items to customers seated at the bar.
  • Operate Point of Sales (POS) system and collect money for drinks served.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirement for purchase of alcohol.
  • Maintain, transport, and restock beer, liquor, wine, mixes, fruit, and all other bar needs.
  • Serve customers from start to finish, including greeting, educating, obtaining orders, entering orders, delivering orders, and accepting payment in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner.
  • Perform all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities at the end of the shift.
  • Monitor, control, and track all product waste.
  • Adhere to all OLCC and Chinook Winds Casino Resort policies and procedures regarding alcohol service.
  • Maintain, transport, and deliver products, beer, liquor, and wine inventory to bar and service locations.
  • Set up and tear down portable bar systems for specialty events.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort customer service standards.
  • Maintain general knowledge and provide information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
  • Provide input or recommendations for improvements/changes in program processes or services.

Requirements:

Position Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Accuracy- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Communication Skills- Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally.
  • Customer Oriented- Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information.
  • Working Under Pressure- Ability to complete assigned tasks in stressful situations.

Education:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience:

Two years of experience as a bartender. Two years of internal Barback experience meets requirements.

Computer Skills:

Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Certificates & Licenses:

Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License. Must have OLCC temporary permit before the start date and obtain OLCC Permit within 45 days of start date. Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit before the start date. Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Persons) Permit within 30 days of employment.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service. Basic math skills.

Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180-day introductory period.

Salary Description:

$16.50-$23.40
