Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Resident Assistant at Presbyterian Villages of Michigan. As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal grooming, dressing, and bathing, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of resident progress and services provided, using judgment to report changes in condition to management.
  • Guide and direct residents in maintaining a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and tidying up living areas, dining rooms, and restrooms.
  • Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, under the direction of a nurse (LPN or RN).
  • Collect specimens for testing, serve prepared food to residents, and assist with eating using proper techniques and tableware.
  • Attend and participate in training opportunities to stay informed on current information and skill development.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, including Presbyterian Villages policies, safety protocols, and federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or enrolled in program if under age 18.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • VOR: CPR and First Aid certifications required.
