Job Description

The Professional Staff Nurse is a registered nurse who serves as a member of the care delivery team. This individual sets the standards for the level and quality of care, providing patient-centered care that promotes healing and well-being. The nurse must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with physicians, other healthcare providers, and patients to achieve desired outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develops and maintains productive relationships with colleagues and patients, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  2. Provides detailed teaching to patients and families, guiding them through the episode of care and transitioning them to another level of care or home.
  3. Applies the nursing process within the framework of Relationship-Based Care, formulating daily goals and plans of care that consider the individual needs of each patient.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience and location.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A current licensure as a registered professional nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement
  • CPR certification based on AHA standards
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and patients
