Critical Care Respiratory Therapist

Maine Medical Center - Portland is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Respiratory Therapy department. As a Critical Care Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our intensive care units.
Responsibilities- Certification and Licensure
- Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred; NRP certification for NICU RRT is required.
- Job Details
- Position is located on the Respiratory Therapy floor.
- 24-hour openings are available.
- 36 hours of guaranteed weekly hours.
- 36 hours of weekend hours (unless otherwise noted).
- Call requirements include 2 hours for the oncoming shift.
- Minimum 3 years of experience required.
- Float requirements include RRT, NICU/PICU, acute care pediatrics, and ED, as well as adult acute and critical care.
- Schedule Information
- Shift is 7AM-7:30PM.
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit information includes:
- Number of beds: varied depending on daily assignments, covering the entire facility with a team of 14-16 RRT.
- Patient ratios: acute 1:25, critical 1:8.
- Equipment: vents (Drager V500 and VN500, Hamilton T1 and C1, respironics V30, V60, Trilogy line, Airvo, Vapotherm).
- EMR: EPIC.
- Must-have skills/experience: tertiary, teaching hospital experience, level 1 trauma.
- Preferred skillset/experience: NICU/PICU Cardiorthoracic.
- Type of patients on unit: varied.
- Personality fit: flexible, team player, great communication skills.
- Dress code: scrub color provided or flexible.
- Any unacceptable attire: N/A.
