About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery nurse in West Des Moines, Iowa. This 13-week contract position offers a competitive salary and a range of benefits.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery environment. With a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote excellent outcomes
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, communicating effectively with colleagues and patients
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture of excellence and safety
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery or a related specialty
- A valid RN license in the state of Iowa
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated expertise in providing high-quality patient care, with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and relevant software applications
