Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Preceptor in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. As a Preceptor, you will play a vital role in the development and education of our nursing staff, while also providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive individualized and comprehensive care.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines, ensuring well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer 2-3 years of ECMO, hospital experience.
