Patient Services Representative

About the Role
The Patient Services Representative at Lafayette Regional Health Center plays a vital role in ensuring seamless patient interactions. This position is responsible for managing pre-certifications and prior authorizations for patient treatments and surgeries, collaborating with physicians on procedural codes and medical record documentation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, leadership ability, and organizational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the OPC team with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and preparing paperwork/medical records for clinic visits.
- Schedule referrals for continued tests and treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians on procedural codes and medical record documentation.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED required.
- 2 years related experience in a medical office or registration area preferred.
