The Role

• This is a proactive and detail-oriented Information System Associate Director position that oversees IT operations, security, and infrastructure management.
• You will work closely with our Managed Service Provider and Compliance team to ensure seamless IT operations, regulatory compliance, and a secure, efficient IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with firm objectives; ensure SEC, FINRA, and cybersecurity compliance.
• Have familiarity with network infrastructure, cloud environments, servers, and storage solutions (e.g., Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory).
• Oversee IT vendors, assess performance, negotiate renewals, manage SLAs, and align IT budgets with Finance.
• Understand User & Identity Management: In example, Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), user provisioning, and access permissions across IT systems.
• Automation & Process Optimization: Utilize PowerShell, Python, or scripting tools to automate IT administration, security, and system monitoring tasks.
• Have familiarity with backup/recovery strategies, conduct regular disaster recovery testing, and ensure business continuity planning.
• Lead IT projects and system rollouts.
• Work with MSP to track IT hardware/software assets, manage licensing renewals, and optimize resource allocation.
• Implement IT training programs to ensure employees adhere to best practices in security and compliance.
• Act as an internal IT advocate, ensuring leadership and employees understand how to use IT resources securely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT administration experience, preferably in a financial services or regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity best practices, and IT governance.
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and IT vendors for security, infrastructure, and cloud services.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks (SEC, FINRA, SOC 2, WISP, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with IT budgeting, strategic planning, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting skills with experience in Active Directory, Azure AD, Windows Server, and cloud environments.
• Experience with automating administrative tasks via PowerShell, Python, or scripting languages is a plus.
• Ability to manage IT projects, implement process improvements, and support a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with business leaders, compliance, and vendors.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
