Fetal Medicine Sonographer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling and performing sonographic images of maternal-fetal conditions in a timely and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and be able to operate equipment with ease. They will also be able to position patients correctly and prepare them for diagnostic imaging.

The Fetal Medicine Sonographer will work closely with physicians to follow their instructions and ensure that diagnostic images are recorded accurately. They will also be responsible for maintaining accreditation requirements and reporting any equipment issues.

Key qualifications for this role include a satisfactory completion of an accredited ultrasound training program, ARDMS - OB-GYN certification, and within 2 years, pediatric echo (PE) and fetal echo (FE) certification. The ideal candidate will also have two years of experience in OB high risk or MFM setting, with one year of experience performing pediatric and maternal fetal echocardiography or willingness to acquire PE and FE registry within 2 years from hire date.
