**Job Summary**
Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski is seeking a skilled Detox Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care to individuals in need of detoxification services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
- Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
Requirements:
- Active Tennessee RN license or Compact State RN license with the intent to obtain a Tennessee RN license within 30 days of hire.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
