Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at Bluegrass Physician Practices. As a Wound Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and perform comprehensive assessments to inform treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic procedures to diagnose and manage health conditions.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree - Required, Master's Degree - Preferred
  • Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - within 60 days of hire
  • Required Licenses: Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Kentucky
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, working 7-10 hours per shift, weekdays only.
