About the Role:
Grant Wood Area Education Agency is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with learners who have a variety of communication needs, including articulation, language, voice, fluency, and early literacy.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a liaison among the agency, district buildings, families, and community, collaborating with various teams to ensure positive outcomes for all learners.
- Models, implements, and assesses strategies related to learning, social, emotional, and behavioral needs to enhance educational programming for all learners.
- Supports agency and local education agency staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
- Gathers child-specific information by observing, interviewing, and sampling communication behaviors from multiple sources and settings, including the child, parent, school/teacher, and home.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree related to speech-language pathology from an accredited institution.
- Iowa license with B-21 Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement, or Department of Public Health license with IA Board of Educational Examiners Statement of Professional Recognition.
